The Sparkling Diamond TourThe Diamond Works is a one-stop, exciting experience for tourists, both young and old. Situated in the Metropolitan Life Centre at 7 Coen Steytler Ave there is convenient parking right outside the main entrance. It is completely wheelchair friendly. A complimentary transfer service is available on request for tourists.
You will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and then taken on an informative tour that takes approximately twenty minutes. The tour starts with a fully operational diamond-cutting workshop, staffed by diamond cutters from previously disadvantaged communities who are all graduates from the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Cutting School in Johannesburg. This is followed by the jewellery-manufacturing workshop where one can see the goldsmiths at work.
